Co-design Director of Australian Centre for Social Innovation comes to Cardiff

Hi All

Just a heads-up that Chris Vanstone, Co-design Director of TACSI will be in Cardiff on 23rd-25th July.

He designed the award-winning Family by Family co-pro project which is an absolute stunner. And which has the best website in more-or-less the entire universe. He was also one of the supporters of our Open Letter.

Service-design background with experience across health and social care (older people, drug abuse, children & families). And a nice bloke to boot.

Might be possible to organise a mini-seminar if people are interested. Can you let me know?

Cheers

Ruth

Myself and my colleauge Amy are free on those dates... If you manage to arrange anything, we would be interested in attending.

Hi Ruth,

This sounds great, thanks for passing it on. Unfortunately I'm unavailbe on those dates, but if it goes ahead I hope it goes well. Would love to hear about it on the forum afterwards.

Thanks again, and apologies for not having uploaded my contribution here following the last meeting, I've not forgotten and hope to get something up this week!

Best wishes,

Loveday

I should be in Cardiff on those dates. I can confirm in a few days

I know one of the service designers that worked on Family by Family. She's from Dublin and I met up with her only last week.

Hi

Have just hada look at this project - good old google! what a fab project- unfortunatley i'm on leave but would it be possible to pass any info about a seminar on to colleauges who are not part of the Co Pro network? Jut think it fits in with the Joint Assement Family Framework and especially Homestart.

Thanks

Rhian

Hi Rhian

Yes please do pass on the info to colleagues - if we do manage to organise an event it will be open to all comers.

If you could ask them to join this group that will be helpful - otherwise I'll have to email loads of different people separately which will create mayhem! The Eventbrite info will be posted here and on the All in this Together blog...

Cheers

Hi Ruth, would you please check whether Chris Vanstone has any knowledge of the Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme that was introduced on 1 July and which shadow work & pensions secretary Liam Bryrne is touting as a new policy direction for Labour: http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2013/jul/10/labour-radical-reform...

If he does I'd be interested in meeting up with him while he's here.

Thanx

okey-dokey - or would you like me to put you in touch direct?

R

PS is there a CDS ref group meeting on the morning of 24th July? Wouldn't want this to clash?

I'll be on holiday on the 24th so can't make this session but hopefully others will be able to share some of the learning.
