A network for co-production practitioners

Video from the West Midlands Network meeting

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that the West Midlands Network met last Thursday (the 26th April). At the EC Arts 48Sheet Project Space in the Mailbox, Birmingham - massive thanks to EC Arts for hosting it.

The meeting was vibrant and informative with a bit of fun thrown in.

The meeting included the following:

  • a presentation from Claire Farrell from EC Arts about their public art project 48Sheet that has put artists' work on over 100 billboards across the city, and how they have involved the community in this project.
  • Gill Phillips from Nutshell Communications talking about the Whose Shoes? learning tool that helps all those involved in personalisation to see issues from each others perspectives.
  • Rosie Edwards, Sandwell MBC, who gave a presentation on Friends and Neighbours' Asset Based approach to helping communities to develop greater resilience, social capital and confidence.

I've put together a little video with interviews from these three inspiring women.

ENJOY!
