Co-production practitioners network

A network for co-production practitioners

Event: FROM MASS PRODUCTION TO CO-PRODUCTION: THE FUTURE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND THE NHS?

Tuesday, 26 June, 5-7 PM, Durham Town Hall (Lantern Room) (click here for a map)

Join an exciting debate with leading thinkers, officers and councillors from Durham on the transformation of health and social care in the UK.

The discussion will provide a state-of-the-art overview of new forms of collaboration with service users and communities in health and social care and the role of user and community co-production in improving and safeguarding services.

Key issues will include:

  • Can co-production improve outcomes?
  • Can co-production bring efficiency savings?
  • Is co-production just a cover-up for spending cuts?
  • How can the barriers to co-production be overcome?
  • How much will co-production cost?

The panel discussion will be followed by a drinks reception and give you the opportunity to network.

Who is on the panel?

  • Elke Loeffler, Chief Executive, Governance International.
  • Professor Bob Hudson, University of Durham.
  • Anna Lynch, Director of Public Health for County Durham.
  • Morris Nichols, Cabinet Member for Social Services. (tbc)

... and before you come,  read the panellists’ contributions to the latest book on co-production of health and social care (as featured recently in the Guardian Public Leaders Network):
