Real Co-Production: the role of research organisations and communities

Just heard about this...sounds really interesting...

As part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s forthcoming ‘Connected Commu..., the George Ewart Evans Centre for Storytelling is holding two events and we would be delighted if you could join us. This workshop will be held at Butetown History and Arts Centre, Cardiff on 1st July 2014 from 5pm to 7pm.
The aims of the workshop are:
• to facilitate discussion between community and academic researchers about the pragmatic delivery of co-designed and co-produced research by, with and for communities
• to challenge the notion of open and democratic knowledge production in a community context
• to identify the benefits and disbenefits for both research organisations and communities in the process of co-production
The workshop will be led by Dr. Michelle Bastian, who is a researcher at the University of Edinburgh working on the inter-connections between time and community.
