Co-production practitioners network

A network for co-production practitioners

i've been much taken by the co-production (equal and reciprocal) approach.

imho there are powerful links with public value theory.

here's a coupla' slides which i hope might explain where i'm coming from.

thanx for your comment, ruth.

you're absolutely right, of course, service users and citizens MUST be included in such equal and repsectful, trusting and purposeful relationships.

i s'pose i'm seeing the co-production model as capable of 'deepening democracy,' not just 'improving service delivery' (vital though that is!)

this probably links to my work being in partnership and policy rather than direct service delivery, and to the growing focus on 'valued outcomes' rather than 'efficient services' (recognising, throughout, that efficient (and engaging) services must be a 'given.'

briefly - i'd like to see co-produced policies and budgets as well as (not instead of) co-prouduced services.

any examples, anyone?

i'd welcome critique, please.

Like the simplicity! But service users need to be included in the relationship as participants/equals.
