I dont know if this is an exact fit, but my Argyllshire village was involved in some community planning that was considered unique: http://www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/node/37293 - it's a highly rural area, so there were many issues of land use and sustainability discussed.  The finalised plan is on the Craignish community council website; http://www.craignishcommunitycouncil.org.uk/.

We have been involved in the Green School revolution by the Co-op Group.
