All in this Together 3: co-producing resilient communities

Wednesday 26 September, 1.30-4.30 at Cardiff City Hall. (Registration at 1.00)

Our luminous line-up includes:

  • Hazel Stuteley & Dr Jonathan Stead talking about Connecting Communities (C2) which uses co-production to achieve profound and lasting change, moving communities from 'isolation to transformation'. And they have the evidence to prove it!
  • Dawn Davies with an overview of Creation in Blaengarw, an award-winning project which focuses on regeneration in its widest and deepest sense - economic, environmental, social and, most significantly, on revitalising the spirit of its communities.
  • Nick Andrews will discuss All Together Now, an initiative which aims to challenge the traditional ‘hotel model’ of care for people living with dementia and to develop an interdependent and reciprocal model of community living which builds on their strengths and contributions.
  • Jenny O’Hara will introduce Glyncoch Community Partnership's radical approach to community engagement and a new initiative to connect communities.

My usual tendency to hyperbole is entirely inadequate given the quality of the speakers' work. Nonetheless, I will try: visionary, awesome, cutting-edge, powerful, radical, inspirational. And then some.

All welcome. Please do pass on this invitation to colleagues.
