We are looking at Co Production within our services and would really like to come and meet your group and understand more about co production and how you went about driving it forward. Hopefully you may be able to provide us with some training or guide us in the right direction.

One of the difficulties for pioneer co-producers is that they often seem to fly in the face of the way public services have been developing over the past generation.



They rely on face to face influence when the trend has been virtual.  They appeal to general skills when the trend has been increasingly specialist.  They believe in ordinary skills, amateur in the best sense, when the trend has been increasingly over-professionalised.

Calling all practitioners

nef is working on writing up a review of the literature on co-production. The aim of the review is to gather and analyse information on the effectiveness of co-production as an approach to delivering public services: specifically looking at where it has been shown to improve outcomes, and impact on the cost effectiveness of services.

The review will cover all sectors and we hope to publish the report by December.
