Co-production practitioners network
A network for co-production practitioners
Calling all practitioners
nef is working on writing up a review of the literature on co-production. The aim of the review is to gather and analyse information on the effectiveness of co-production as an approach to delivering public services: specifically looking at where it has been shown to improve outcomes, and impact on the cost effectiveness of services.
The review will cover all sectors and we hope to publish the report by December.
Part of the drive behind this piece of work has come from the conversations we have had with practitioners over the past year who have often said that having access to an evidence based review of the effectiveness of co-production would support them to make their cases locally. So before we go ahead we want to check that this is what is needed by practitioners, and whether you have any thoughts or ideas on how this review could be best tailored to your needs. The question we pose to you is: ‘what kind of information do you need to help make your own case to local commissioners and funders and how do you need this to be presented?’ We want this to be a piece of work which is relevant and useful for practitioners, so your insights to this question are vital.
Secondly, if you have evidence either in the forms of evaluations, informal presentations, case studies, or articles you have read which you think we should be reviewing, do send them in to joe.penny@neweconomics.org .
Any and all feedback on how this piece of work can be most relevant to supporting practitioners to take their work forward would be really appreciated.
Look forward to hearing all of your thoughts on this.
Julia
