Background to your work
Jenny has volunteered and worked in the youth and community field in various capacities for around fifteen years. The community of Glyncoch, along with number of inspirational people and researchers, have helped Jenny realise what can be achieved when community members and service providers work together to design and deliver projects which effect social change.
Jenny and her colleagues have developed and continue to refine a co-production approach which can translate into other community contexts.
Some of these ideas were explored in her paper ‘An alternative to the casino economy’ published by IWA in Agenda, 2009 and co-authored with Professor Kevin Morgan of Cardiff University. http://www.glyncoch.org.uk

Hello and welcome to the co-production practitioners network Jenny, thanks for joining us!

The practitioners network is supported by nef but all content is developed by members, for members. There's over 720 of us now from a wide range of backgrounds. To make the most of this fantastic resource, and in the spirit of co-production, do give others the chance to get involved by asking them to help you or sharing your skills with others.

Some of the following areas are good starting points;

Network groups – join your regional group for face to face and online contacts close to home. There's a strong network in Wales which I'm sure you'll find useful.

Resources and Videos bring co-production to life - add your own and view others.

The Blog carries the latest news, debate and opportunities for co-production practitioners. See what’s going on, add in your own comments or start a new thread. I remember visiting Glyncoch some time ago with Geoff and Becky and being blown away by what they were doing. Please do share any papers/ materials/ films with other practitioners through posting them on the site.

It would really help to know how you heard about the network and what motivated you to join. Please let me know at lucie.stephens@neweconomics.org. Also, please share the details of the network with colleagues or contacts you think would be interested.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Lucie

Hi Jenny!

Do join the Wales group when you have a moment...under 'Networking' on the main menu.

Cheers

Ruth
