Co-production practitioners network

A network for co-production practitioners

nef is launching an exciting 30 month project which seeks to improve outcomes for young people and their families by improving the way that Services for Young People are designed, commissioned and delivered. Through our work with commissioners in Surrey, Camden and Kirklees, nef has developed the theory and application of both co-production and commissioning for outcomes.

nef has recently secured funding from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation to support two local authorities in the development and implementation of the framework. Our aim is to work in close partnership with two Local Authorities to implement and test out the framework within their commissioning activity. The support from Paul Hamlyn will cover nef’s costs to work intensively with the Local Authorities for up to 18 months.

We would like to talk to local authorities who are interested in implementing the commissioning framework, and embedding co-production within services. The framework can be applied to external contracts that are competitively tendered or collaboratively developed but is equally relevant as a mechanism for reviewing and improving in-house service provision. There are two tiers of involvement in this project, either directly as an implementation partner or as part of a wider learning network. Unfortunately implementation partners must be based in England. The learning network is open to the whole of the UK.

There is more information on the project, with details about how you can get involved here Commissioning co-production expressions of interest.pdf   Please note that the deadline for expressions of interest for implementation partners is Friday 25th of November at 5pm.

Please do pass this on to anyone you know who would be interested in this project.
