Hello Co Production Practitioners Network

 

The Adult Learning Centre in Kirkdale (Sydenham, SE26) closed this year due to funding cuts.  Rather than sit back, The Kirkdale Village Traders Association are working with Hugh Dames of Social Capital Ltd to deliver the Kirkdale Christmas Pop Up ( www.kirkdalevillage.net), an event of 50 "join in and learn a little", dance, sing, hula hoop, yoga, cooking, floral arrangement (etc)  activities staged as pop up sessions in the shops, businesses, community and faith organisation buildings in and around our town centre. 

 

As well as a celebration of this local community (and Christmas),  the  learning theme, planning process and the format of the event itself are all intended to work together as an asset mapping exercise identifying  the skills, networks, facilities etc within our community that could support the continuation of community learning within Kirkdale. 

 

Members of the Co production Practitioners Network are invited to our launch party on 7-9pm on Friday 09 Dec at the Windmill Pub (SE26 4BB) and to the main programme 10-3pm Saturday 10 December.

 

We think we are onto something here with regard to co production and, if you agree with us, we would love your support by helping create a bit of social media buzz and hype about what we are doing.
