Delivering the Care Act 2014: how arts and cultural interventions enable co-production and personalisation

Co-production refers to developing and delivering public services in a fair and reciprocal way alongside professionals, those using services, families and neighbours. This event will showcase existing work and hear from the commissioners and from arts and cultural organisations. The day will cover new requirements in the Care Act 2014 such as developing a local market place that enables co-production and supports personalisation.

Creative approaches to improve dementia care
This event will highlight the positive impact that arts and cultural interventions are having on people affected by dementia, their families and carers.

Time: 9.30 – 16.00
Location: Bristol BS1 5TX
This event will look at activity across a range of settings, from community based activities that maintain independence through to interventions for people in care homes which are improving the culture of care. It will combine academic contributions with practical workshops showcasing interventions already underway. Commissioners will hear from their peers who are already commissioning, and from policy makers, about the positive outcomes of the work, and how these approaches have been put into practice.
