Better Bus Area co-production initiative

Am developing a new co-production initiative as part of Norfolk County Council's 'Better Bus Area' project. Partnership working with Opening Doors (user-led organisation of people with learning difficulties), transport planners and bus operators: objective is to train 8 people with learning difficulties to be able to use the new design bus information and for them to train others in Phase II. Phase I has just started and Phase II expected to start in April.

Hello and welcome to the co-production practitioners network Peter, thanks for joining us!

The practitioners network is supported by nef but all content is developed by members, for members. There's over 680 of us now from a wide range of backgrounds. It's great to see you asking people to help you. Has anyone been in touch? One tip is that because people from a very wide range of backgrounds - in services and as users of them - its probably best to avoid too many acronyms or jargon. nef is currently involved in supporting Lambeth and Cornwall to improve how they design and commission young people's services. Young People will be involved through-out. There hasn't been involvement in a safeguarding board but there might be some learning we could share. What are you hoping to acheive by involving young people and what role will they play on the board?

Some of the following areas are good starting points;

Network groups – join your regional group for face to face and online contacts close to home.

Resources and Videos bring co-production to life - add your own and view others.

The Blog carries the latest news, debate and opportunities for co-production practitioners. See what’s going on, add in your own comments or start a new thread.

It would really help to know how you heard about the network and what motivated you to join. Please let me know at lucie.stephens@neweconomics.org. Also, please share the details of the network with colleagues or contacts you think would be interested.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Lucie

Head of Co-production, nef
