I am a freelance organisational development consultant. My interest, passion and expertise is in the co-creation of profound change in complex organisations and situations. I have over a decade of experience in public and third sector services in Scotland. My philosophy and conceptual framework aligns with an assets approach and is grounded in the principles of complexity theory and emergence. Recently much of my work has centred around the need for multiple teams and/or agencies to integrate and co-create new and shared ways of thinking, working and relating. This means making changes in organisational structures, dynamics and culture. The starting point for my involvement has often been conflict, breakdown of relationships, an impasse or 'stuckness' in a process, repeating cycles of thinking / behaviour that seem impervious to intervention, or doubts that any change is possible. In my professional role I work with organisational stakeholders to co-create the conditions in which new shared meaning, innovation and transformation can emerge, and in which they define the structures, processes and ways of working and relating that are fit for purpose.
