This manual contains the reference material needed when working with special circuit analyses in PSpice. Included in this manual are detailed command descriptions, start-up option definitions, and a • PSpice your Microsoft Windows User's Guide. This manual generally follows the conventions used in the Microsoft Windows User's Guide. LTspice (Linear Technology Spice) LTspice IV is a high performance Spice III simulator, schematic capture and waveform viewer with enhancements and models for easing the simulation of switching regulators. LTspice Library. LTSpice is a free spice simulator, schematic capture and waveform viewer. LTSpice can be used very well with the LayoutEditor. So circuits create by the SchematicEditor can be used for simulation within LTspice and schematics created by LTspice can be opened, view and used for a schematic driven layer within the SchematicEditor / LayoutEditor. LTSpice IV -Importance •SPICE simulation of circuits (BEFORE PHYSICALLY BUILDING THE CIRCUIT!!) •Test integrity of circuits •Predict circuit behavior •Schematic and symbol editor •Library of passive elements (R,L,C components) •Library of LT (Linear Technology) components working home problems using LTspice. • Install LTspice on your own computer. LTspice is installed on all lab computers and in A&EP computer room • Supplement Part 2 contains LTspice experiments. They will start after the break and are to be done in the same way as the usual lab experiments, but using LTspice. referenced in this manual as Spice2/3. General Process The main objective of using the Netlist Translator is to import your Spectre or SPICE netlist into ADS. This enables you to simulate your design using the powerful tools provided by ADS. Figure 1-1 is a simpli?ed task ?ow for using the Netlist Translator. Figure 1-1. Simpli?ed Task Flow If the program found traces of such, it would show a message indicating that the user was entitled to order a free printed manual using the displayed special order code, which, however, was actually a number encoding the evidence found on the user's machine. Users sending in the filled out form would receive a reply from CadSoft's attorneys. LTspice Tutorials. This LTspice Tutorial will explain how to use LTspice ®, the free circuit simulation package from Linear Technology Corporation (LTC) (linear.com).LTspice is node unlimited, incredibly easy to learn and can be used to simulate most of the analogue components from Linear Technology as well as discrete and passive components. But I know a bit more about LTSpice by now. There are several ways of approaching this problem. One would be to use a standard voltage controlled switch, which is already a part of the LTSpice library of components. LTspice includes a large number of excellent FET models, but sometimes you need to simulate a simple switch that opens and closes at specific times or under certain conditions. To insert and configure a switch in LTspice Insert the symbol for the voltage-controlled switch in your schematic (press F2 and type "sw" in the search field of the symbo Lecture #15 (9/26/01) Diode SPICE Model Ideality factor accounts for generation- recombination in the depletion region of the diode ( ignored in our derivation for iD) Usual range for N is 0.5 - 1 RS is the series resistance of the quasineutral p and n regions plus the ohmic contacts Lecture #15 (9/26/01) Diode SPICE Model Ideality factor accounts for generation- recombination in the depletion region of the diode ( ignored in
