A network for co-production practitioners
I'm wondering whether anyone has any advice on communicating the principles of co-production to the general public without using jargon, but still retaining the essence of what it means? I want people as partners in all that we do, from service delivery to strategic thinking, but I don't want the language to be a barrier! Any idea out there?

Hi David. I'm brand new here - and to co-production as a recognised 'thing' really. Saying that, from what I've learned in the last 24 hours (Attended the mind-blowing 'All in this Together 3: co-producing resilient communities' event in Cardiff yesterday), I'm excited to realise that the beliefs, values, ethos etc. behind the principles run in absolute parallel with my own and an organisation I'm helping launch in Wales, so I do have some understanding.
What I have an excellent understanding of though, is communication and I'd love to contribute here and share what skills I have right now whilst learning more about co-production.
My background is in corporate marketing, but these days I work solely with 'businesses driven by cause, passion and/or purpose' and I'm a champion for 'authentic communication'. By that I simply mean, saying it like it is ie. jargon free and in a congruent tone of voice. This can often mean using conversational language, but that is not always appropriate... it really depends on the context, as well as the audience. So...
When you say, "communicating the principles of co-production to the general public", are you talking about on paper? For example, in a document/report or on a poster/leaflet? Do you mean in an online article? Are you scripting something for a video or podcast? Or are you talking generally?
