Event Description

Join an exciting debate with leading thinkers and practitioners from the North-West on the
transformation of health and social care in the UK.

The discussion will provide a state-of-the-art overview of new forms of co-production with service users and  communities in health and social care and the role of user and community coproduction in improving and safeguarding services.


Key issues covered by the discussion will include:

Why we must co-produce health and social care services;

How public services and citizens can collaborate to co-produce better public services and outcomes;

The extent to which co-production can bring improved outcomes and efficiency savings;

How barriers to co-production can be overcome;

The impacts of recent reforms to health and social care and what they mean for public involvement in services;

The discussion will be led by Terry Dafter, Director Adult Care Services.

David Taylor-Gooby, Lay Member of the Durham Dales, Easington, and Sedgefield Commissioning Group.

The discussion will be followed by a buffet lunch and opportunity for networking.
