Event Description

This event will give you the combined experiences from the twin-cities Tower Hamlets and Offenbach in Germany on a new approach to neighbourhood management.

Shazia Hussein, Project Director of Integrated Services of LB of Tower Hamlets will tell you about the pathway followed in Tower Hamlets to localise services and making partners and residents work together. Her German counterpart in the twin-city Offenbach, Sabine Süßmann, will share with you how she turns complainers into active neighbourhood champions and what kind of support the council and partners need to provide. Elke Loeffler from Governance International will round up the case studies by providing you with a toolkit how to scale up community involvement at neighbourhood level.
