Background to your work: My job title is Specialist Chaplain (Research, Education, and Development). I am currently involved in a research project entitled: 'How could Co-production Principles Improve Mental Health Spiritual and Pastoral Care (Chaplaincy) Services?' I am planning another similar project 'To Co-produce and Test a Framework for Evaluating
Spiritual Care (Chaplaincy) in Mental Health.' I am keen to work with people with lived experience of mental health problems towards learning how we can provide more effective mental health services both in the NHS and in faith communities.
I am also undertaking a professional doctorate that will seek to use co-production methodology to explore how church/faith community groups and statutory mental health services can work together for the best advantage of service users and with suitable safeguards.
