DESCRIPTION:Innovative new schemes in Wales working to tackle the hidd
 en and growing crisis of fewer of us getting involved in community or 
 civic life - what’s called ‘social capital’ - are being showcase
 d at a major event at the at the Senedd Cardiff on November 10th 4.30p
 m for 5-7.30pm.\nPost Referendum Wales reveals a divided society of tw
 o tribes, who are increasingly have less to do with each other.\nPione
 ering projects across Wales are using new ideas and inspirations from 
 the latest technology to good old-fashioned, neighbourly cups of tea t
 o tackle the problem of building more social capital.\nThe ‘New Soci
 al Capital Agenda’ event is a Fellows-led event organized by the Roy
 al Society for the encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerc
 e (RSA).\nIt aims to share the insights, ideas and inspirations to pro
 vide new ways of building greater connectivity, capability and confide
 nce to enable people help each other more, to tackle the crisis in dec
 lining social capital.\nUnless new urgent action is taken it is argued
  we will witness a continuing decline in community group activities an
 d civic engagement across Wales.\nInnovative projects being showcased 
 include:\n\nProfessor Ian Hargreaves OBE of Cardiff University on the 
 ‘Creative Citizen’ - how to overcome the challenges of using new s
 ocial media opportunities to nurture more creative communities\nProfes
 sor Joyce Kenkre of the University of South Wales on ‘Social Well-be
 ing’ to overcome social isolation and low self-esteem. Her work feat
 ures an innovative ‘‘Our Place’ project, working with a group of
  young mother’s in Pontypridd\nAndy Green a Fellow of the RSA, on ho
 w the Barry IdeasBank project shows the way ahead for  establishing a
  community IdeasBank in every town or city across Wales and the UK to 
 provide a new engine for building Social Capital in our communities.\n
 Luke Loveridge, also a RSA Fellow,  on ‘Cardiff Citizen Tech Pionee
 rs’ trailblazing new ways to use technology to transform how people
