If you are within sight of a glass of wine, a custard slice and/or a party hat I suggest you throw a small celebration because:

a) the Wales Group now has 150 members (hello Rosa!);

b) it looks very (very) (VERY) likely that Cahnist co-production principles will be written in to the regulations and code of practice of our new Social Services and Well-being Act AND embedded in commissioning requirements;

c) nef's Commissioning for Co-production Masterclasses are coming to Wales with 11 LA commissioners signed up, a clutch of senior Welsh Government radicals, leading lights from third-sector organisations…

Great blog on co-production from a member of SCIE's Co-production network

This is recommended reading! 

Matt Langsford a 22 year old with experience of the care system writes powerfully about what co-production is, why it's important and outlines some of the steps that SCIE are taking to implement it across their organisation.

As he so eloquently says, we need to 'smash through' the jargon because co-production is an 'important issue and it will help people to have more control over their care and support'.

Free support to implement the Social Value Act in health and care

Applications are now open to take part in the second round of Social Enterprise UK’s trail blazing health and social value programme.
