The Lambeth GP Food Co-op is a cooperative of patients, doctors, nurses and Lambeth residents who work together to grow food. It is funded by Lambeth Council and NHS Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group. The Co-op began in March 2013, building gardens inside GP surgeries which are designed to enable patients and others to learn how to grow food in a safe and secure environment. Last week the London Co-production Practitioners Network met for a session hosted by Latimer Creative Media. Together we developed our personal Co-production Stories and our Story of Self. We experimented with social media, tweeted #MyCoProStory and made short film clips.

We learned that...

• Stories help communicate values to people by engaging their emotions
• Stories can motivate others to act with us - in ways that only providing a laundry…

I am pleased to announce that the next meeting will be hosted by Latimer Creative Media at the BFI Southbank on Thursday 10th July, 10:00 to 12:30.

We will be exploring the theme of Storytelling for Co-production with various activities and challenges. Should be a lot of fun – as well as useful.
